About Umande

Umande (breeze from the sea in Swahili) is a 30 foot fibreglass Astove cruiser designed by Angelo Lavranos.

It was built in 1990. The name is a play on the first owner's name, Steve Mandy.

She is sloop rigged and handles beautifully. She has 6 berths, a 16 hp Vetus engine and roller furling.

I have recently run all the main lines to the cockpit and I am currently refurbishing the interior.
